It can't possibly be February! I had every good intention of updating my website during the month of January and poof, the month was gone!
On January 12, I emailed my manuscript with final edits and the signed Content Approval Form to my editor. On February 2, I received two emails and a phone call stating that my book had moved to Cover Design and Layout Design!
The Cover Design department is currently sketching and brainstorming ideas for marketability as the book industry is a very tough market. I can't wait to view the design options.
The one question I receive time and time again is: "How many pages are in your book?" I still don't have an answer for you, but I do know that the size is going to be 5"x7". The Layout Design department will be using fonts to mimic the look and feel of the cover. They will also be adding page numbers, page headers, and chapter title styles. This process is referred to as the initial proof. Once I have agreed on the initial proof, the next step will be the final proof...
While you are waiting to hear from me regarding the final proof, subscribe to my website and you just might receive a free, autographed copy of my book! (Number 400 wins). I will let you know who the subscriber is next month...
